Following years of bold, colourful works, I've adopted a more sober palette for my current landscape series, 'wild'. Having always been drawn to areas of wilderness, many of my pieces have an empty feel about them and are largely based on visits to Canada, the USA, Scandinavia and the UK's more rugged areas.

The 'countenance' series stems from my early passion for cartooning and graphic novels. The series has resulted in several commissions. Currently, I'm dividing my time between a new series of statuary paintings and the ongoing 'wild' series.

The tone, style and subject matter of my work often reflects both frame of mind and listening habits at the time - music having always played a significant role in my life. I've travelled fairly extensively and much of what I produce is based on photographs and experiences from the road; the rest is drawn from somewhere within. I'm quarter Canadian which may partly explain a deep-rooted fascination with the North American landscape.
